Group Tours

Group tours are designed for High Schools, Community Colleges, & College-Bound programs to bring groups of students on campus to visit SUNY Brockport. If you are a single prospective student looking to visit please sign up with our Daily Visits.

Due to the needs of our staff as well as demand from our Daily Visits we will be offering group tours on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays for the Spring semester. We have staff available from 10am-1pm on these days for our groups. We will do our best to accommodate different arrival/departure times as needed but cannot guarantee that a student ambassador will be available. Please work with the Campus Visit Coordinator to schedule a group visit outside of this timeframe.

Your group visit will include a tour of campus led by a student ambassador. Information sessions will be given based on the availability of our staff. If you select to eat lunch on campus, you will be treated to one of our dining halls! Plan on the visit lasting 2 hours without lunch or 3 hours with lunch. If you are planning to meet with another campus office such as an athletic department or academics during your visit please indicate this when registering your group and communicate with the Campus Visit Coordinator for scheduling.

If you have any questions or specific requests, please contact our Campus Visit Coordinator, Heather Pond at hpond@brockport.edu.

We require that the following group visit guidelines are read and upheld:

    Guidelines

Group Size: We require groups to consist of at least five students but preferably no more than 75. It is mandatory that groups meet a 10:1 student to chaperone ratio.

Come Prepared: Campus tours involve roughly 60-90 minutes of walking. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and dress for the weather. If special accommodations need to be made for a member of your group, please let us know at least one week in advance so we can provide arrangements.

Arrive on Time: Please plan for adequate travel time when requesting your group visit. Our ambassadors are on a tight schedule while balancing school full time, and being late may take time away from your visit. If you know you will be late, please be sure to contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at (585) 395-2751 to let a staff member know. If your group arrives late, we will continue on with the schedule agreed upon and your group will forfeit whichever portion of the visit you have missed. This will apply to groups leaving earlier than expected- your visit timeline cannot be changed day of.

Code of Conduct: Visitors are expected to behave and respect every aspect of our campus during their visit and to respect and listen to our student ambassadors. If at any point during the visit the group becomes unruly or misbehaves, the group will be asked to leave early, and restrictions will be set on visiting again.

Please click on a date that you would like to visit campus on the calendar below to register for an On Campus Group visit! If a date is gray, then it is not available.
