Thank you for considering Brockport! We are delighted to welcome you to the School of Arts and Sciences at SUNY-Brockport. The school offers academic programs that engage the mind, body, and spirit. Our students are challenged to think and to do. Our faculty’s passion and expertise is recognized nationwide. These gifted faculty members mentor as well as teach by working alongside students in a collaborative environment of discovery and achievement. This fosters an atmosphere of dedication to research, hands-on creativity, performance and critical intellectual enterprise.

Many faculty members in the School have received prestigious awards, including awards for excellence in teaching and research. Students affiliated with the School have also received prestigious awards, including the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for student excellence.
The departments in the School belong to four broad disciplinary areas: Arts & Performance, Humanities, Social Sciences, as well as Sciences & Math. These departments offer a total of 33 majors and 42 minors, encompassing traditional and emerging disciplines.
